motion work that appels to me
http://vimeo.com/15192184
This specific piece was created by Daily Planet Productions, and was posted to the website on September 22 of 2010. From what I have gathered, it seems that the central idea is just to use motion graphics in order to play up the cheesiness of the rap video featuring some less than gangster white boys. Based on my current knowledge of motion graphics, I can tell that after effects 3-D animation was used along with live action film of the rappers. In some scenes, it is apparent that a green screen was used, which they even show the viewer during the film. Animated text is also incorporated into the film, although I am not entirely sure of how this was achieved. The reason for me choosing this film was that is involved humor, and showed the viewer what methods were used in production to a certain extent. I would like to be able to incorporate both the animated text and 3-D animation in my work.

Questions for the animator
My first question is how are 3-D backgrounds created in animation?
Also, how many methods of creating motion are available to animators today, aside from stop motion?
